Right now I wish I was on the beach, watching the sunset, listening to surf and seagulls, taking a stroll in the sand.

Instead, I am in another day of cold and rain. The back yard is fit for a rice paddy, the low gully in the neighbor's yard sports a creek big enough for a canoe, and the temperature is a balmy 38 degrees.

Ah, well.

Below the read more break is the latest review from the Smoky Mountain News. I still haven't gotten round to spring cleaning mentioned in the review. I don't feel too horrible about it, though spring is now upon us. (Right now, I am remembering the remark of one my sons when he was a teenager and asked to help clean the kitchen. "What's the point?" he said. "It will just get dirty again." Maybe he has a point.)

Oh, well, Warmer and drier weather will appear eventually. Meanwhile, onward and upward. Invictus.
