Hello all,
Rain and gloomy skies here in Virginia this day, and yet somehow the gray weather brought a sense of peace. I didn't make my usual trip into town to the coffee shop and other destinations, but instead remained here and wrote, worked on a project for a homeschool company, threw out some Christmas decorations, and read a book for review.
The link to the article below has special meaning for me. From the time I was 4 until about age 12, I called Boonville, NC, home. It was a magical time in my life. An old childhood friend, Allen, recently lent me a school catalogue from the Yadkin Valley Institute, a private school in Boonville that later became the first public school. It was, as you can tell if you read the article, a fascinating educational establishment.
Hope all my readers are warm and safe tonight.
